Senior Validation Engineer- R&D - Chengdu, China
Myriad is looking for a Senior Validation Engineer for the Chengdu office to work with our development team. Your mission will be to design and execute validation tests for both feature development, regression testing, and product validation.

MISSION
The role of the Validation Engineer is to design and execute validation tests for both feature development, regression testing, and product validation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Working under the direction of a team leader to specify and develop validation tests for software products.
- Analysis of requirements from validation perspective.
- Create validation tests plans and individual validation tests.
- Execute test plans – both feature based and regression testing.
- To perform software testing on Development Boards/PDA/Cell Phone/simulated environment.
- Participate in the review of test cases and test plans Manage the defect lifecycle: Perform bug analysis, enter bugs in bug tracking system, validating fixes and closing defects.
- Communicate results and progress to the validation leader and project manager.
- Create test reports and metrics.
- Continual Improvement of development processes and quality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Senior Validation Eng : 4+ years Experience.
- Experience in product validation in the commercial software industry.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases.
- Good communication Skills.
- Good Time management Skills.
- Excellent debugging skills, inquisitive and persistent.
Desirable
- Experience in mobile telephony or mobile applications.
- Experience of C/C++, javascript/ecmascript, PHP, HTML, CSS, Ajax.
- Experience in Windows mobile, Brew, Symbian.
- Knowledge/experience in below areas:
- Social Networks / Messaging – mms / Sms / email / IM/
- Browser technologies either PC or mobile
- Runtime Engines technology – Virtual Machines, compilers, memory management, garbage collection, UI libraries etc.
