Myriad is looking for a Solution Engineer for the Chengdu office to work with our development team. Your mission will be to provide customer support services ensuring successful product delivery
to our customers and to deliver integration, maintenance, support, custom
development or presales support services.

Myriad Professional Services department provides the Integration, Maintenance & Support, Custom Development and Pre-Sales Support of our industry leading products. Software delivery is a key element to successful on-going Professional Services engagement and the Solutions engineer role is key in ensuring and delivering this.
MISSION
To provide customer support services ensuring successful product delivery to our customers. To deliver integration, maintenance, support, custom development or presales support services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include the following:
- To deploy PL solutions (such as Messaging Clients & Mobile Browsers) on client mobile phones.
- Perform problem analysis and software debug while working as technical contact to mobile phone manufacturers.
- Produce Customer focused and relevant solutions.
- Assist clients (as required (e.g. OEM’s)) in their code development as they implement proprietary value added features and customize their software for individual devices.
- Implement new customer (or carrier) requirements and compose documents to be deployed to the customer as a technical engineer.
- Compliance with Quality policies, procedures and standards.
- Run test plans with very high attention to detail, including investigation and correction of issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Essential
- More than 3 years experience of software development.
- An expert in C and C++, network programming, multi-threaded programming.
- Embedded s/w development on mobile platform and real-time O/S.
- Relevant application development experience (messaging (SMS, EMS or MMS), Markup Languages (HTML, XML and Script:ECMA) and network protocols (HTTP,SSL/TLS).
- Mobile software development experience.
- Experience in debugging complex embedded software applications.
- Excellent communication skills to drive technical decisions and produce customer focused solutions.
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope and to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways.
- Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong team player who will work side by side with customer and colleagues alike
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts.
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
Desirable
- Experience with Mobile or MMS client development is highly recommended.
- Deep knowledge of MMS specification (OMA).
- Experience in the mobile handset industry or in a telecom environment/communications industry.
- Experience with cross-development processes and tools.
- English language skills.
