DUEBENDORF‐ZURICH, Switzerland – 20 January 2011 – Myriad Group AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: MYRN), a global leader in mobile technology having shipped over 3.7 billion software applications on more than 2.2 billion phones, and sponsor of the prestigious 2011 Global Mobile Awards “Best Mobile Device” and “Device Manufacturer of the Year” Award categories, congratulates all Awards finalists announced yesterday.

The Myriad sponsored Best Mobile Device Award recognizes devices that best deliver a combination of design, technical excellence, intuitive features and functionality, pricing and ultimately user demand. Nominees for this category include Apple for the iPhone 4, HTC for the HTC Desire, LG for the LG Optimus 7, RIM for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and Samsung for Samsung Galaxy S.

Apple, HTC and Samsung have also been nominated for the Device Manufacturer of the Year category, which celebrates manufacturers who have led the charge in development and innovation with notable sucesses over the course of the past year. The winners for both categories will be announced at the ceremony during the evening Congress Party & Awards Celebration by Myriad Group CEO, Simon Wilkinson.

The GSMA employed a new process for this year’s Device Awards with nominations for the Best Mobile Device and Device Manufacturer of the Year discussed by panels of journalists, analysts, researchers and commentators, who have shortlisted contestants and ultimately will choose the winners.

“The Global Mobile Awards is the premier showcase for the most exciting handsets and devices launched each year,” said Simon Wilkinson, CEO of Myriad. “Our sponsorship further underscores Myriad’s leadership and deep expertise in mobile software, and our continued support and enthusiasm for new innovations in the mobile community.”

In addition to sponsoring the Global Mobile Awards, Myriad will host and sponsor the second annual Myriad After‐Awards Party to be held Tuesday evening, February 15th at the National Palace, immediately following the Awards Celebration. The event will be hosted by Jonathon Ross and culminate in a headline performance by pop singer, Duffy.
